Grow Your Next Opportunity

A farmland investment deserves more than an acreage calculation. It deserves a plan for how the property will be used, what infrastructure it requires and how the agricultural operation will be funded and managed.

Canada Agro Farming’s Ontario project framework brings these considerations together. We focus on the relationship between suitable farmland, irrigation, equipment, operating capital and the requirements of contract seed production.

Under the owner-funded project model, investors own the project assets and fund approved capital and operating budgets, while Canada Agro Farming provides agronomic support and production-protocol coordination. Ownership, management authority, service fees and commercial responsibilities are established in the project agreements.

The objective is to connect tangible agricultural assets with disciplined production planning—not to rely on land appreciation alone.

A Buyback Agreement Provides the Commercial Framework

Inside Hybrid Seed Production.

Connect your farmland investment with a production plan—and a commercial framework for the seed it produces.

Canada Agro Farming brings together Ontario farmland planning, hybrid corn and sunflower seed production, agronomic coordination and investment evaluation. Our approach connects the practical requirements of the field with the capital, infrastructure and commercial arrangements behind the project.

For investors, landowners and agricultural partners, the opportunity begins with understanding how these elements work together: suitable land, a defined production protocol, documented purchasing terms and a transparent operating budget.

Explore the land. Understand the contract. Evaluate the complete investment.

Connect water management with the production protocol

Crop water requirements change with crop type, growth stage, weather and field conditions. Irrigation scheduling can use soil-moisture observations and a water balance that accounts for rainfall, irrigation and crop water use.

Within hybrid seed-production projects, our planning approach connects those observations with parent-line development, field activities and the seed originator’s instructions.

Corn and sunflower are assessed separately. The operating plan addresses irrigation timing, field access, monitoring responsibilities and the approval process for any proposed changes. Project-specific schedules, deviations and irrigation cut-off decisions remain subject to the seed originator’s authority and the agreed production protocol.

The aim is a documented management process: understand current conditions, identify the required response and establish who is authorized to act.

Precision from the First Seed

Farmland is the foundation. The production plan defines how it will be used.

Canada Agro Farming’s agronomic planning approach brings field layout, soil and drainage assessment, irrigation requirements, equipment coordination and seasonal labour into the same project discussion. These considerations are evaluated alongside the proposed crop, parent-seed availability and seed-buyer specifications.

Our objective is to give investors a clear connection between the proposed capital investment and the work required in the field: what needs to be funded, when it is needed and who is responsible for execution.

Rather than treating agronomy as a separate operating expense, we place it at the centre of project planning.

Understand the Full Cost of Farm Equipment

Choose technology for the problem it needs to solve

Machinery economics include ownership costs such as depreciation, insurance, storage and the cost of capital, together with operating costs such as fuel, maintenance, repairs and labour. Annual use and expected service life affect how those costs are allocated across the operation.

Project-specific Ontario equipment budgets are presented in Canadian dollars, with supplier quotations distinguished from preliminary allowances. The assessment addresses delivery, setup, necessary attachments, training and recurring technology charges where applicable.

The financial review also separates initial capital expenditure, annual cash requirements, replacement planning and estimated resale proceeds. Resale assumptions require particular care: equipment age, accumulated hours, condition and market demand influence its eventual value.

Our objective is to make the financial commitment visible before the purchase—not after the equipment arrives.

Understand the Complete Greenhouse Investment

Look beyond construction cost to the cash required to operate.

Greenhouse economics include both crop-dependent expenses and costs that continue even when production is reduced. Distinguishing variable costs from fixed costs is an important part of evaluating crop choices, pricing and facility use.

A project-specific Ontario investment review separates the initial development budget from operating expenditure, financing requirements and working-capital reserves. Budgets should be presented in Canadian dollars, with current quotations clearly distinguished from preliminary allowances.

The financial model should connect saleable production and achievable selling prices with labour, energy, inputs, crop losses, packaging, distribution, maintenance and management costs. It should also allow for the period between initial expenditure and customer payment.

Investor scenarios should test slower production ramp-up, lower selling prices, higher energy costs and construction delays. Operating cash flow should be shown separately from any assumed land appreciation or eventual asset-sale proceeds.

The goal is a transparent investment case—not a return estimate that conceals the assumptions behind it.

Hybrid Corn Seed Production in Ontario

Canada Agro Farming welcomes enquiries from Ontario farmers seeking hybrid seed-growing contracts and investors funding seed-production projects for 2027 and subsequent seasons. We grow the crop, coordinate agronomic activities, and arrange buyback contracts.

We serve Ontario, with a focus on Southern Ontario, the Greater Toronto Area, and Vaughan.

Seed-production projects: at least 250 acres of usable land committed to seed production—approximately 101 hectares. Enquiries are welcome for 2027 and subsequent seasons.

Irrigation requirements apply, and installation can be arranged before production. Discuss your land, water source, equipment requirements, and intended season with us.

For Ontario growers

Explore a growing opportunity for your farm. Discuss usable production land, water, irrigation, equipment, and the intended season. Canada Agro Farming signs the growing and buyback agreements; responsibilities and commercial conditions are established directly in those agreements.
