Growing Sunroom Cost Estimator and Planner

This planner covers a growing sunroom, an existing sunroom retrofit, or a skylight/ventilation upgrade. It helps organize a smaller growing-space layout and component budget. It is not a complete commercial-greenhouse quotation system.

Prepare an EstimateRequest a Project Review

How to prepare a preliminary estimate

  1. Project: choose new growing sunroom, existing sunroom retrofit, or skylight/ventilation upgrade and enter your project details. Optional length and width accept positive values up to 1,000 metres or feet. Footprint is length × width in the selected square unit; it does not infer structural or glazing quantities.
  2. Scope: review the component lines. Leave an item for review, choose an available priced preset, mark it customer-supplied, or omit it. Use notes to explain project requirements.
  3. Budget: review the priced portion and enter tax percentages where applicable. Unpriced review items remain unresolved; an empty rate does not mean the component is free.
  4. Request: review the prepared text before copying, saving, or opening an email draft. A result or a prepared draft is not a submitted enquiry.

Units, prices, and exclusions

Displayed preset prices use Canadian dollars (CAD) and the sale unit shown beside each item, such as each, roll, or pack. Preset quantities are positive whole sale units, up to 1,000,000,000. Tax fields accept 0–100%, up to four decimal places. The tool rejects invalid numbers and amounts above its calculation limits.

Each selected preset contributes unit-price cents × quantity. Both entered taxes are calculated separately on the same subtotal and rounded to cents; they are not compounded. Taxes begin blank and must be reviewed for the project. The total covers only selected priced items. Items awaiting review, customer-supplied items, and omitted items are not priced as part of that total.

Do not assume site work, design, permits, delivery, installation, utilities, labour, or operating costs are included unless the selected line and its notes explicitly include them. A project-specific review is needed to establish full scope and commercial terms. Catalogue assumptions are maintained by Canada Agro Farming and its partners; a company/partner rate-review date and independent validation have not been established.

Checked component example

Select the starter drip kit at CAD 267.00 per kit and quantity 2: CAD 534.00. With tax 1 set to 13% and tax 2 to 0%, tax is CAD 69.42 and the priced total is CAD 603.42.

This is a partial component example. With all other lines left in their initial review state, 66 other component lines remain unpriced. It is not a complete installed-system estimate or a current supplier quotation.

Save, reopen, and prepare a request

Save project opens options for a JSON project file. Open saved project accepts saved JSON (up to 250 KB), shows a review, and requires Replace draft before importing. Imported preset selections use the current catalogue rates. Switching the system or scope retains separate drafts.

Start over asks for confirmation and clears only the active system or scope. In the request step, copy the full request, save it as text, or open an email draft; you must review and send the message yourself. Where a scope includes a printable worksheet link, download that worksheet and print it using your PDF viewer. These planners do not have a dedicated Print button.

If the tool does not load or a saved project cannot be opened, contact Canada Agro Farming with the project location and the scope you want to discuss. Keep a copy of your saved project before replacing a draft.
